Following 21 years of dedication with Beauregard Arc, Chemika's commitment was honored. We wish her continued success in her future pursuits. Mika, you will be greatly missed.

Our heartfelt congratulations to you, Willie, a most deserving participant, on this notable achievement that reflects your dedication and kindness.

Citizen of the Month
Beauregard Arc
Willie Joyce

Willie is a 47‑year‑old resident of DeRidder, Louisiana, born in Longville in 1987. He grew up in a loving two‑parent household as the youngest of three children. The strong foundation his parents provided continues to shape the responsible, hardworking man he is today.

Willie’s early school years began in Longville. He later attended South Beauregard Elementary, DeRidder Middle School, and DeRidder High School, where he earned his Certificate of Completion. He enjoyed school, took pride in maintaining A’s and B’s, and was well‑liked by both teachers and classmates. Two accomplishments he often reflects on with pride are his strong academic performance and earning his driver’s license—milestones that held great personal meaning for him.

Today, Willie lives independently in his own apartment with minimal staff support. He has also purchased his own truck, a significant achievement that reflects his determination, responsibility, and commitment to maintaining his independence.

Willie’s work history includes the ResCare Day Program’s mobile lawn care crew, Beauregard Nursery, and Walmart. Since 2014, he has been a dedicated employee in BArc’s Supported Employment Program, working full‑time in the Recycling Department. Willie takes great pride in his work and has expressed a strong desire to continue his career with BArc. He is known for being dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn new tasks. His friendly, polite nature makes him a valued team member and a positive presence in the workplace.

Willie’s life reflects perseverance, independence, and a steady commitment to doing his best. He continues to grow, contribute, and build a meaningful life rooted in responsibility, kindness, and personal progress.

We're radiating joy and brilliance! Despite a brief pause in our social media updates, which may have left you wondering, we're thrilled to share the fantastic stories unfolding at BArc! Our incredible program participants and staff spread delight by making Lucky Charm bars to celebrate the magic of St. Patrick's Day. Thanks to the extraordinary kindness of Catholic Daughters of St Joseph Catholic Church DeRidder, La and the generosity of Ms. Vickie, our participants savored wonderful St. Patrick's Day treats. We were deeply honored to welcome City of DeRidder - City Hall Mayor, Michael Harris, who took time out of his busy schedule to visit and inspire our program participants. The vibrant spirit of spring burst forth in our annual Easter egg hunt, igniting boundless joy on the faces of our participants. In a testament to the power of community, the Women's League of DeRidder presented us with a check from the Mardi Gras Gala proceeds, embodying the true essence of compassion and care. We're overwhelmed with gratitude for each individual who contributed, supported, and donated to make a difference in the lives of our remarkable participants! Our hearts are filled with immense appreciation for your kindness and generosity.
