"Thank you for helping my father."

These simple but powerful words were heard today as a community member approached the TEAM Inc. tent at the Milford Fair on the Half Shell. And it reminded us of why we do what we do. There are real people facing real challenges right here in our community, and providing relief when it is most needed is exactly what we are here for. So, we are truly touched when that impact is remembered and shared with us, even years later.

At the fair, Patrice, Marlene and Denisa had the opportunity to connect with the Milford community, share information, answer questions, and highlight the many services TEAM proudly provides throughout the region - now for 61 years. Outreach is about more than handing out flyers. It's about being present, listening and connecting, and finding ways to make a difference. TEAM Inc - we go where we are needed.

Thank you for having us, Downtown Milford Business Association. 💙💛

We can't wait for the Valley Souls concert! It's YOUR time to SHINE! Singers of all skill levels are encouraged to sign up for this community choir. Visit https://onecau.se/_mnvfk1 to learn more and sign up!

Proceeds from the December show will be donated to TEAM. 💙💚

Singers of All Skill Levels Needed!

Griffin Health is looking for singers of all skill levels to lend their voices and help spread holiday cheer throughout the Naugatuck Valley with its Valley Soul Community Choir.

Under the direction of Angela Clemmons, a professional singer for more than 40 years and director of the acclaimed “Shoreline Soul” performances in Madison, participants in the community choir will have six, two-hour workshops, culminating in a hand-clapping, foot-stomping, “this couldn't possibly be the Naugatuck Valley” concert of traditional and contemporary gospel and ‘gospelized’ holiday songs on Thurs., Dec. 3 at Church of The Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour.

The suggested registration donation to join the choir is $25. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Sign up online at griffinhealth.org/valley-soul. For more information, contact Lisa Nista at 203-732-7384 or [email protected].

Valley Soul is sponsored by the President’s Fund at Griffin Hospital as a thank you to Griffin’s sponsors and the community, and as a celebration of Griffin’s family of employees, medical staff, volunteers, corporators, and trustees for their dedication, compassion and expertise.
