On this Memorial Day, whether you spend the day with loved ones, outdoors in the sunshine, or simply taking a quiet moment of reflection; we encourage everyone to honor those who never made it home.
May we live healthy, meaningful lives worthy of their sacrifice.
Theatre has always helped us remember.
From stories of war and resilience in classics like “South Pacific,” “Miss Saigon,” and “Les Misérables,” to modern musicals like “Come From Away,” the stage has long reminded us of the courage, sacrifice, humanity, and hope that emerge even in the darkest moments.
This Memorial Day, we honor the service members who gave their lives for others. We remember the families, communities, and generations forever changed by their sacrifice.
One of the most moving lines in modern musical theatre comes from “Come From Away,” a story built on compassion in the aftermath of tragedy:
“Tonight we honor what was lost… but we also commemorate what we found.”
May we continue to find connection, kindness, and community through the stories we tell and the lives we remember. 🇺🇸
