We ended the year with Falcon Finale! Our program students were back at their sending schools or other finale events. New students who signed up from the high school spent time in four VT fish and wildlife- Wildlife Management Areas learning about the WMA and doing various stewardship projects like tree planting, nest box checks, trail building and installing new kestrel and duck boxes. We visited Eagle point, Wenlock, Willoughby falls and South Bay WMAs.

Today we worked with Northwoods Stewardship Center to help collect silver maple seeds. Students went to South Bay WMA/Barton River to locate productive trees with seeds. This is part of a stream bank restoration project around the state to restore riparian zones of coverted agricultural fields. Students collected around 11 gallons of seeds!
