We got a chance to explore our proposed English Bayou raft race locations (Old HWY 171 Boat Launch to Riverside Park Complex) and are pleased with the facilities. CPSO and LDWF permits are accepted now just finishing up with USCG.

Great effort by the Crew yesterday to map out a route bypassing some bridge outages and getting a new path going between Campsites 8 and 10 to create a loop for the Bikathlon. For lunch we enjoyed critiquing some Rosie's Rules TV episodes while chowing down on some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the Directors Cabin.

Crew we are needed. Please come out this weekend to help get Camp Edgewood ready for summer camp. Whether you come for the day or all weekend, many hand make less work.

You might have heard the news that the levee for the Camp Edgewood lake was compromised during one of last week's storms. The news is accurate and means that we are having to alter our summer camp programs for 2024 (registration shifts will be online for you tomorrow). While initially devastated to see our beautiful lake gone, we now see a wonderful opportunity for the future of Camp Edgewood.

Camp will remain open while we go through the steps necessary to make the needed repairs. We have a work weekend THIS WEEKEND and could use your help all over camp, so please come out! As we move forward with civil engineers, bridge rebuilding, lake improvements, environmental adjustments for the health of our lake, etc., you can keep using Camp Edgewood! We will reach out to all of our amazing volunteers as we have more information and where assistance is needed.
