The Lancaster Police Department is deeply saddened by the heartbreaking loss of Officer Eric Major, who tragically died off duty.

The men and women of the Lancaster Police Department are grieving this profound loss as we face one of our department's most emotionally challenging moments. We are providing support services to our officers and staff and offering our assistance to Officer Major’s family as we all navigate the pain of losing a family member, friend, fellow officer, and co-worker.

We will honor Officer Eric Major #50 for his service, and we humbly ask for the community’s support and understanding as we navigate this painful time together.
