“Thank you for making them feel important.”

These are real words from families you’ve supported through Project Readiness. Behind every donation is a story and we thank you for making these stories possible. 🎒💙

32 backpacks, ready to go home with East Side High School’s Red Raiders! 🎒🟥

Huge thanks to Wintrust for donating 30 of these backpacks, with 2 more coming from additional generous donors — together making sure every one of these students starts the year prepared.

Grateful for school partners like East Side who welcome us in and help make delivery day happen.

Ever wonder where all those backpacks actually go? 🎒

Each one of Project Readiness’s hundreds of students comes to us through a referral — either from one of our Referring Non-Profit organizations, or directly from a New Jersey school district.

This year, we impacted 6 counties across NJ and partnered with 15 organizations and districts. Together, we matched 640 students with backpacks and school supplies. At an average value of $90/backpack, that’s $57,600 in monetary and in-kind donations raised for the 2026 drive!

Curious who’s helping make this happen? Head to the link in our bio to check out our Referring Partners page.

A huge thank you to Wintrust, one of Project Readiness’ most dedicated corporate partners, for providing 30 of the 31 backpacks recently delivered to Eagle Academy for Young Men of Newark. We’re proud to work with organizations that invest in students and help ensure they start the school year with confidence and the supplies they need to succeed.

Together, we’re building brighter futures, one backpack at a time. 📚💙
