We were honored to serve as co-sponsors alongside the Colours Foundation in celebrating Women Veterans Recognition Day at ViewHouse. 🇺🇸

It was an incredible event filled with meaningful conversations, hearing different experiences, and the opportunity to connect with so many women who have served our nation. Getting to know these remarkable women, hearing their stories, and recognizing their contributions reminded us why creating spaces for connection matters so deeply.

Together, we are building something powerful, a stronger community where women veterans are seen, valued, and supported.

Community. Connection. Purpose.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in honoring the women who have worn the uniform and continue to make a difference in our communities every day.

Today, we recognize Women Veterans Day and honor the women who have served our nation with courage, resilience, and dedication.

Women have served throughout America's history - from the Revolutionary War to today's military - often without the recognition they deserved. June 12 marks the anniversary of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act of 1948, when women earned the right to serve as permanent members of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Here in Colorado, today is officially recognized as Women Veterans Appreciation Day, honoring the more than 47,000 women Veterans who call our state home and the 8,500+ women currently serving.

At Women Who Served: Colorado Veterans, we believe that no woman who served should feel invisible.

✨ What an amazing day! ✨

Words cannot fully express how grateful we are to every woman veteran and service member who joined us for the Colorado Women Veterans Engage Event today.

From the inspiring message shared by CMSgt Denise Jelinski-Hall, to our incredible panel of women veterans who courageously shared their stories, experiences, and lessons from military service, the day was filled with powerful conversations and meaningful connections.

It was also a true joy listening to Shelly Rood, founder of Mission Ambition, LLC, and her presentation, Wilderness and Wildflowers: Naming the Language of Women Veterans. It was inspiring to explore our individual wildflower patterns and gain a deeper understanding of ourselves while discovering meaningful connections with one another. Her presentation sparked reflection, conversation, and a shared sense of understanding among the women in attendance.

We are also deeply thankful for our outstanding sponsors and community partners who supported this event and provided valuable resources, opportunities, and information to our attendees. Your commitment to serving those who have served makes a lasting impact.

Today was more than a conference - it was a celebration of community, connection, and purpose. It was a reminder that when women veterans come together, we create spaces where every story matters, every voice is heard, and every woman belongs.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success. We are already looking forward to bringing this community together again in May 2027!

💜 Until then, stay connected, continue supporting one another, and remember: you are never alone in your journey.

Yesterday, a few of us had the incredible honor of placing flags at Fort Logan National Cemetery alongside others committed to remembering the men and women who served before us.

As each flag was placed, we spoke the individual’s name aloud and thanked them for their service. In those moments, each person was more than a name etched in stone - they were remembered, honored, and acknowledged for the sacrifices they made.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or the unofficial start of summer. It is a time to pause, reflect, and remember those who gave so much in service to our country. Standing among the rows of flags at Fort Logan was a humbling reminder that freedom has been carried on the shoulders of generations who served with courage and sacrifice.

We remember you, we honor you, and we thank you.
