Earlier this week, the Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health released the 2026 State Report Cards. North Carolina received a C. 🔵

While this is a slight improvement from our C- grade over the past two years, the message is clear: there is still significant work to do for maternal families across our state.

A "C" means we are making incremental progress in screening and policy, but it also means too many parents are still falling through the cracks when it comes to finding providers, accessing treatment, and securing foundational support.

At PSI-NC, we are working every day to so that a "C" state doesn't mean a failing grade for your mental health. Progress is good, but our goal is a comprehensive, thriving village for every single parent in North Carolina.

You deserve an A+ network of support. And if you are struggling today, you don't have to wait for the system to catch up—we are here for you right now. Click here to access free, immediate peer support groups and local NC resources: bio.site/PSINC

Today is the day.

Stillbirth changes families forever — but prevention is possible.

North Carolina families deserve:
✔ Education
✔ Awareness
✔ Timely care
✔ Providers who listen
✔ Access to proven prevention strategies

It doesn’t have to be this way.

The BUMP Act is about making sure fewer families experience preventable loss.

Today is our final push.

We’re looking for 723 Carolinians to take action to support The BUMP Act by May 31.

Be one of them.

Use your voice. Support the BUMP Act and help us protect babies and families across North Carolina.

Tomorrow is the deadline.

723 Carolinians.
One voice.
One movement to help save babies in North Carolina.

Stillbirth is not rare.
And too many families are learning that warning signs were missed, concerns were dismissed, and education came too late.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

The BUMP Act would help bring stillbirth prevention education and fetal movement awareness to families across North Carolina through proven initiatives like Count the Kicks.

Every signature matters.
Every email matters.
Every voice matters.

We’re looking for 723 Carolinians to take action to support The BUMP Act by May 31.

Help us finish strong. Contact your legislators today.

Stillbirth is not just the loss of a baby.
It is the loss of a future.

Parents still experience postpartum recovery.
Milk still comes in.
Families still plan funerals instead of first birthdays.

And many families suffer in silence because society does not know how to talk about stillbirth.

But prevention matters.
Support matters.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

At Jace’s Journey, we believe families deserve more than sympathy after loss.

They deserve action.

The BUMP Act would help bring awareness, education, and prevention resources to families across North Carolina — especially those most impacted by stillbirth disparities.

Every baby deserves the chance to celebrate their birthday.

We’re looking for 723 Carolinians to take action to support The BUMP Act by May 31.

Use your voice. Support the BUMP Act and help us save babies in North Carolina.

Parents deserve to be heard.
Babies deserve a chance to live.

Too many parents are dismissed when they report changes in fetal movement.

They are told:
“You’re probably fine.”
“Just monitor it.”
“Wait and see.”

But delays in evaluation and treatment can have devastating consequences.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Education saves lives.

When parents know what is normal — and what is not — they can speak up with confidence, and providers can respond with urgency.

That is why the BUMP Act matters.

The legislation supports parent education on fetal movement awareness and proven stillbirth prevention strategies like Count the Kicks.

Because every parent deserves to be heard the first time.

We’re looking for 723 Carolinians to take action to support The BUMP Act by May 31.

Take action today and help us fight preventable stillbirth in North Carolina.

In North Carolina, Black babies are more than twice as likely to be stillborn.

This is not just a statistic.
This is a crisis.

Black families experience disproportionately higher rates of stillbirth in the United States.

And too often, these losses are connected to inequities in healthcare access, delayed intervention, implicit bias, and lack of education.

Families deserve more than thoughts and prayers after loss.

They deserve prevention.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

The BUMP Act would help increase awareness, education, and outreach in communities experiencing the highest burden of stillbirth.

Every baby deserves the chance to celebrate their birthday.

We’re looking for 723 Carolinians to take action to support The BUMP Act by May 31.

Support the BUMP Act and help fight disparities in maternal and infant health outcomes.

Your baby’s movements can signal distress before tragedy happens.

A change in fetal movement can be one of the earliest warning signs that a baby may be in danger.

But too many parents are told:
“Just drink cold water.”
“Wait and see.”
“You’re probably fine.”

No parent should be dismissed when they feel something is wrong.

Research shows that educating parents on fetal movement awareness can help reduce stillbirth.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

That is why the BUMP Act matters.

The bill supports education efforts like Count the Kicks so parents know when to seek care — and providers respond urgently.

Less movement. Weaker movement. No movement. Sudden Increase in movement

Trust parents. Save babies.

We’re looking for 723 Carolinians to take action to support The BUMP Act by May 31.

Support the BUMP Act today and help bring life-saving education to families across North Carolina.

Stillbirth kills more babies each year than SIDS and car accidents combined.

Wait…what?

In the United States, stillbirth affects about 1 in 175 pregnancies — yet most people never hear about it until it happens to someone they love.

Thousands of families leave hospitals with empty arms every year.

And many of these deaths may have been preventable through better education, awareness, and timely care.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

The BUMP Act would help fund stillbirth prevention education and awareness efforts across North Carolina, including fetal movement education through Count the Kicks.

Because parents deserve information that could save their baby’s life.

We’re looking for 723 Carolinians to take action to support The BUMP Act by May 31.

Take action today. Contact your legislators and help us fight for stillbirth prevention in North Carolina.
