We’ve marched, we’ve protested, we’ve voted over generations. Now we have to match the scale of the threat facing our lives, our futures, our communities, and the planet itself.
That means organizing at a deeper level, building contending dual P.O.W.E.R. that reduces our survival to obedience under their system and replaces it with something we actually control together.
The national call to organize Feeding the Fight across the states is also a test. Not a symbolic one but a material one. It reveals which groups are prepared to move beyond performance and into practice. Which ones are aligned with real liberatory work and which are still repeating the same cycle of gestures, statements and symbolic solidarity that doesn’t change conditions on the ground.
We need to know who our partners, coalition members and comrades really are in this moment. Who is ready to support materially. Who is prepared to help physically build the conditions necessary for a revolutionary general strike.
GSUS has over 480,000 people signed up on our strike card. Those numbers matter but not in isolation. Numbers alone don’t feed anyone. They don’t house anyone. They don’t protect anyone.
What matters is whether we can care for each other in real terms. Can we feed each other? Can we house each other? Can we support each other in decolonizing our lives and raising collective consciousness? Are we strong enough and organized enough, to defend one another when it matters?
If the answer is no, then the work is clear. You need to be organizing a Feeding the Fight in your own community.
