❤️ It’s $5 Friday, and Angels to the Animals Could Really Use Your Help! ❤️
We try not to ask for financial help every Friday, but the last three months have been particularly difficult for our rescue. The medical expenses have added up quickly, and we could really use a little help from our amazing supporters. 🙏
Since July, we have welcomed 12 dogs into our rescue and spent $17,513 on medical needs! That includes:
🐾 $13,933 in veterinary and medical expenses
🐾 $1,569 in spay/neuter costs
🐾 $2,011 in vaccines and preventatives
And that’s just the beginning of what these dogs have needed.
The bare minimum we spend on a dog coming into our rescue averages $250, and that’s when they need only basic veterinary care—which, unfortunately, is rarely the case.
Here are just a few of the medical challenges our dogs have faced:
💔 Poquita needed a cystotomy and spay — $1,561
💔 Shadow required hospitalization after a dog fight that was not his fault — $1,918
💔 Benson needed surgery for a broken femur — $4,593
💔 Maverick suffered an obstruction — $551
💔 Titan is battling severe skin issues after being neglected and left living outdoors — $649
💔 Trooper arrived still needing treatment for a severe elbow wound — $622
And we still have Sophie, George, Ernie, and Butterfly who need heartworm treatment. Mack needs to see a neurologist next week and Hutch is likely going to need Laryngeal tie-back surgery. Their care cannot be put on hold, and we need to be able to continue providing the medical attention and treatment they deserve.
These dogs depend on us. They didn’t choose the circumstances that brought them to our rescue, but we are committed to giving them the chance at healthier, happier lives. ❤️
If you can spare just $5 today or whatever amount you’re able to give—it would mean so much to us! Every single donation helps us pay these mounting veterinary bills and continue caring for the dogs who still need us.
Five dollars may not seem like much, but when many people come together, those small donations can make a BIG difference!
If you’ve ever wondered how you can help the dogs of Angels to the Animals, today is a wonderful opportunity. Please consider donating, sharing this post, or both! Every bit of support helps, and we are so grateful for every person who stands behind our rescue. 🐾❤️
Thank you for helping us be there for the dogs who us most. We truly couldn’t do this without you! 🙏❤️
