The 1st Annual Ringneck Roundup is a pheasant hunting fundraiser for American Heroes In Action. We're raising money to provide all expenses paid hunting trips and other outdoor adventures to Veterans and 1st responders. The goal is to shoot the most pheasants, with the fewest shots, in the fastest time. First place team of 4 hunters will win 4 new shotguns. Only 20 teams will compete. The Ringneck Roundup takes place on Saturday, October 10th at Rocky Mountain Roosters, near Calhan, CO. Registration is $350 per huter and includes a BBQ lunch. So far this year, from January through the end of May, American Heroes In Action has hosted 27 adventures for 111 Veterans and first responders. Already in June, we have 5 adventures on the calendar for another 23 Veterans and first responders. We're looking for volunteers to help with raising funds to pay for MORE adventures and help with planning more adventures. Would you like to help?

In the military, you knew your purpose. Now you're out and your purpose may not be clear. What if your purpose is to help other Veterans and first responders? American Heroes In Action is launching a SOCO Chapter. We need volunteers. Want to work with other Veterans, first responders and supporters? We're holding 2 Chapter planning meetings next week, one on Tuesday night, June 2nd, one on Wednesday night, June 3rd. Meeting near Garden of the Gods and I-25. Comment, or send a message, if you want to see if helping other Veterans is YOUR purpose.

Happy Armed Forces Day to all who are serving, and all who have served. Later today, American Heroes in Action will draw TWO Veterans to go fishing in Alaska over the 4th of July. There is still time to get your name in the drawing. You need to buy a calendar in the Monday Gunday giveaway. We draw a winner and give away a prize every Monday.
