Millennials are setting their sights on newer technologies with hopes of joining companies like Google, Facebook and Amazon. Most are not aware that 85% of core financial transactions, such as credit card purchases and ATM withdrawals, rely on the mainframe. While 70% of the global Fortune 500 companies run their core business functions on the mainframe, most lack the effective means to transfer their proprietary knowledge and skills.
TechNation is working to build the next generation of mainframe talent by developing a supply of skilled workers to meet this shortage.
