The 4th and 5th grade Girl Scouts at Stober Elementary invite you to participate in a community trash clean up event.
The Trash Bash is a pledge-drive fundraiser that raises money to support endangered animal habitats in Colorado. The Girl Scouts will be seeking community pledges for every 15 minutes they pick up trash over the weekend of May 4th and 5th. And we are inviting anyone who would like to participate to sign up and do it with us!
The event will culminate in a community “Trash Pick-Up Blitz” from 2-4pm on Sunday the 5th. It will be followed by a “Collection Celebration” at 4pm to weigh the trash and celebrate everyone's hard work!
Here is how it works:
1. First, collect pledges from friends and neighbors. They can donate a certain amount of money per every 15 minutes you clean up trash or just give a flat amount.
2. Anytime on May 4th or 5th you can go out and collect trash around Applewood and beyond. We will have supplies available at Stober (gloves, bags etc.) for pickup on the 5th from 2-4pm or you can email us and we can get them to you earlier.
3. The Finale Trash “Pick-Up Blitz” will be Sunday the 5th 2-4. You can go on your own or meet up at Paramount Park at 2pm and go out as a group. Afterwards there will be a “Collection Celebration” at 4pm at Paramount Park. Bring the trash you collected so we can weigh it.
