SUBARU “SHARE THE LOVE” EVENT PARTNERS WITH GOLFERS AGAINST CANCER
We are proud to announce that Denver Golfers Against Cancer (GAC) has been chosen as a partner in the Subaru “Share the Love” event for the 13th straight year! The Share the Love event is celebrating its 18th year and Subaru expects to reach $350 million in donations after this years event. Our charity was once again selected by AutoNation Subaru West as their local charity to receive $250 for every new Subaru sold or leased from November 20, 2025 through January 2, 2026. If you need a new car or know someone who is looking, now is a great time to buy a Subaru and help support Golfers Against Cancer. Last year, $53,775 was donated to GAC and over the past 12 years the event has contributed over $421,000 to GAC. GAC wants to thank the great team at AutoNation Subaru West for all their support!!!
Denver Golfers Against Cancer raised $150,000 in 2025 that was donated to research projects at the University of Colorado Cancer Center. In sixteen years of working with the University of Colorado Cancer Center, GAC’s Denver chapter has donated more than $2.1 million to fund multiple projects, including two projects that have been approved for clinical trial.

The 17th Annual Golfers Against Cancer AutonNation Subaru West Golf Tournament is this Thursday July 24th at The Ridge at Castle Pines. We have a silent auction during golf and a live auction and band after golf. Make sure you bid on items while playing golf and that you stay for the live auction, appetizers and drinks after the tournament.

The AutoNation Subaru West Golf Tournament registration begins at 8:00 am at The Ridge at Castle Pines on July 24th with a shotgun start at 9:30 am. Breakfast will be provided before the tournament and donated beer and water are provided at no cost on the course. Box lunches will be provided on the course with appetizers and live music after golf. Dress is Country Club attire, with collared shirts required and neither jeans nor gym shorts allowed.

SUBARU “SHARE THE LOVE” EVENT RAISES $53,000
We are proud to announce that AutoNation Subaru West raised $53,000 during the Subaru Share the Love Event this year. This is the 12th year Subaru has selected Golfers Against Cancer as the local charity for the Event. With this years donation Subaru has donated over $363,000 to Golfers Against Cancer. Thank you to Brian Murphy and the staff at AutoNation Subaru West and Subaru for the great support!

Denver Golfers Against Cancer raised $140,000 in 2024 to help fund three new research projects at the University of Colorado Cancer Center. In sixteen years of working with the University of Colorado Cancer Center, GAC’s Denver Chapter has donated over $1.9 million that has helped to fund multiple projects each year. Those projects have gone on to receive an additional $28+ million in federal grants.

5th Annual Hitmakers Music Event May 8th at The Wide Open Saloon
Tickets are going fast for the 5th Annual Hitmakers Music Event on May 8th at The Wide Open Saloon from 6:30-9:00pm. Tickets are $75 ($50 is tax deductible) per person, which includes 2 drinks. Food will also be available to order from the menu prior to and during the event. This year the event will include Marti Dotson, Paul Sikes, and Adam James. They have written songs for Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, Luke Combs and Jelly Roll to name a few. 16th ANNUAL DENVER GOLFERS AGAINST CANCER EVENT RAISES $140K
The 16th Annual Denver Golfers Against Cancer (GAC) event, held on July 25th at The Ridge at Castle Pines, was a huge success! The first year of just holding the AutoNation Subaru West Golf Tournament went great. We had a great day for golf and fundraising. We had a long drive professional and golf ball cannon that added to the fun day on the course. We raised additional money from the silent and live auction. A big thanks to the companies that donated to the auction. We also want to thank our great sponsors for their support.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and the participants, a total of $110,000 was raised for cancer research. We were also able to secure a match of $30,000, to increase our total contribution to $140,000.
The GAC Board met with the researchers at the University of Colorado Cancer Center. The board selected 3 great projects. The first project is focused on B-cell acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, which is most common group of cancers in children and the leading cause of cancer related death in children and young adults. The second is related to Ependymoma (EPN), the most aggressive type of brain tumor in children. Patients with subtype PFA tumors are ultra high risks, as they are challenging to treat with little options available. Investigators are identifying challenges and testing new strategies in pre-clinical models to overcome these challenges. The last project, is focused on individuals with sarcomas who have a dismal prognosis and are often faced with a prolonged, distressing and often fatal illness. Investigators have identified new ways to increase CAR T cell homing into solid tumors. With this year’s donation, Denver Golfers Against Cancer has contributed over $1.9 million locally to help fund cancer research and these funds have generated over $28,000,000 in additional grants for the projects supported. Two different projects funded by Golfers Against Cancer made it to the clinical trial phase.
Mark your calendars for the Subaru Share the Love event that runs from late November to the first of January. Autonation Subaru West has selected Golfers Against Cancer as their local charity and when someone buys a new Subaru during Share the Love, they can select GAC as their charity and GAC will receive $300. Last year GAC received over $57,000 from the Event.
Next years golf tournament will be July 24th at The Ridge at Castle Pines. The tournament has sold out every year so make sure to mark your calendar. We will be sending out more information on the event in early 2025.

4th ANNUAL HITMAKERS SCHEDULE
We hope everyone is looking forward to a great night of entertainment this Thursday May 9th (we are aware the website says May 1tth but the event is May 9th).
