Sox Place

Sox Place Sox Place is a homeless youth drop-in center that brings the Father's heart to the fatherless through intentional, loving relationships.

Sox Place is a daytime drop-in center for street youth. These range in ages from 12 to 30 and belong to the youth sub-culture known as “street kids.” Many have been abandoned by parents/guardians, some are victims of the foster care system, and most have been tossed aside by society. Addictions to drugs, alcohol, violence, and s*x are a part of their everyday lives. Most are just trying to survive

! A hot meal and a safe place is provided Tuesday through Saturday. There are activities such as videos, video games, foosball, and pool to entertain the youth during their time at Sox Place. Staff and volunteers spend their time interacting with the youth, connecting and building friendships in order to build healthy and constructive relationships.

Georgia has been coming to Sox Place in and out for about five years.

When he talks about this place, he talks about safety. Guidance. Food. Clothing. Hygiene. Resources. A place to go when life feels hard to navigate.

And now Georgia is fully employed.

He recently got a full-time job at CAVA, worked 70 hours in one week, and is already thinking beyond survival. He is dreaming about using what he earns to one day start a nonprofit himself.

That is what Sox Place does.

A meal can become trust. A shower can become dignity. A safe place can become momentum. And over time, consistency can help someone move from just trying to make it through the day to building a future.

This summer is a slower season for donations, but the need has not slowed down.

Help us keep showing up for people like Georgia.

Pablo is our newest staff member at Sox Place.

But the first time someone tried to bring him here, he thought it was a setup.

He was high. He was hungry. He was tired. He was scared. And honestly, that makes sense. A lot of the youth and young adults who come through our doors have learned not to trust people. They have been let down, used, abandoned, or ignored too many times.

But Pablo eventually walked in.

He found food. Clothes. A place to rest. A place where he did not have to hide. A place where he could just be himself.

Now he works here.

That is what Sox Place does. We do not just hand people a meal and move on. We build relationships. We keep showing up. We become family. And sometimes, the person who once needed a safe place becomes the person helping the next kid find one.

Pablo’s story is why we keep going.

Help us keep the doors open. Help us keep feeding, serving, and showing up.

100+ pairs of brand new shoes.
Brand new socks.
Real love.

Huge thanks to Wholly Kicks for coming to Sox Place and helping our street family in a big way. Watching these kids get to choose brand new shoes for themselves was cool to see.

We told you last week we hit the streets in the snow. HERE'S THE FULL VIDEO!!!

Passing out socks, beanies, food, water, hand warmers, snacks, and hygiene kits—just showing up for people who needed it.

That’s what this is about. You don’t forget where you came from. You show up for the next person.

Solomon used to serve here. Now he’s fighting to get back on his feet.

He’s a dad with two kids, working hard to rebuild—but he’s also just getting out of the hospital after a major surgery. It set him back. And right now, he needs some help.

A reliable car would change everything. We’re looking for someone who can step in and be part of his comeback.

If you have a reliable 4-seater vehicle you can donate, it will be tax-deductible through Sox Place.

If you can help, reach out directly:

Today we’re celebrating someone who has given so much of his life to others.

Happy Birthday, Jordan!!!!

For years, you’ve shown up—day in and day out—for the young people who walk through the doors of Sox Place. You’ve built something that feels like home to so many, and today we just want to take a moment to celebrate you.

We put together a video with messages from the Sox family and guests—real gratitude, real love. A special thank you to Blue, one of our incredible staff members, for capturing and putting it all together.

If you’ve been impacted by Sox Place in any way, this is a great day to show some love. Drop a message, send a note, or simply wish Jordan a happy birthday.

We’re grateful for you, Jordan. Today, we celebrate you!

We want you to hear this from us first about what happened today at Sox Place.

Today was a hard day at Sox Place.

Earlier today, one of our regulars and someone we care deeply about was shot on our patio by another individual who has also frequented our space. He was taken to the hospital and we’ve been told he is expected to survive and is currently in surgery.

Police responded quickly and secured the scene. Our staff is safe. All other guests are safe.

These aren’t strangers to us. These are people we know. People we’ve built relationships with. People we care about.

We’ll share updates as we can. Thank you for standing with us and please continue to pray for us and the people that come here.
