This innovative outreach program is designed as a hands-on mentoring, motivational, and life skills course targeting under-served, low- to middle-income boys grades 3rd-12th. Through a series of weekly presentations led by Founder and Director Mike Thompson, these young men are provided a powerful foundation to develop and implement choices that reinforce a standard of excellence, self-discipline

and self-empowerment. The Choice Program includes an itinerary of guest speakers from the world of sports, the finance sector, entertainment, business and education who share their personal stories, challenges and keys to success. The Program Emphasizes:
• Personal Responsibility & Self Esteem
• The Pitfalls of Peer Pressure
• The Risks and Consequences of Gang Involvement
• Maintaining an Educational Track for Success
• Substance Abuse
• Goal Setting and Personal Achievement
• Basic Finance Education
• Job Interview Skills & Tools (high school grades)

The Choice Program started at Montbello High School by the request of Angela Robinson in 2008-2009 school year. By the time of the end of the 2009-2010 school year we had over 50 students attending the program. The Choice Program logo was design by 2 students in the program which was pick by the everyone in the program. The Choice Program is supported by the generous donations and contributions of individuals and corporations.
