Occupy Auraria

Occupy Auraria We are a non-violent community concerned with the state of the global economy and the corruption of democracy.

Around the country, more and more high school students are foregoing a college education because their families can no longer afford it. So many more are graduating with inconceivable amounts of debt and stepping into the worse job market in decades. They take unpaid internships that go no where and soon can’t pay college loans. Our goal is to bring much needed attention to the Occupy Wall Street

Movement. We represent students who share these fears and support Occupy Wall Street. Please join us everyday from hence forth @ 12pm and 4 p.m in the cross section between the library, Plaza building, and art's building.

On February 17th the University of Colorado has seen fit to invite General "mad dog" Mattis to speak to the students about tensions in the Middle East. For those that do not know the self-titled "mad dog", he lead the assault on Fallujah that used depleted uranium, white phosphorus and violated the Geneva conventions by attacking a hospital. He was quoted also of saying such charms like this one, "You go into Afghanistan, you got guys who slap women around for five years because they didn't wear a veil. You know, guys like that ain't got no manhood left anyway. So it's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them. Actually, it's a lot of fun to fight. You know, it's a hell of a hoot. It's fun to shoot some people. I'll be right upfront with you, I like brawling." Should be an enlightened learning experience. Good to see the University paying and honoring a war criminal.
