Meet Ceecee Owl Beam, as my two year old fully named her. Ceecee is a 2.5 month old Heeler mix with ears built for picking up satellite signals and a heart full of pure puppy love! She was rescued from being euthanized in New Mexico and is loving Colorado.

With her little black eyepatch, adorable speckles, and sweet puppy eyes, Ceecee is the ultimate balance of playful puppy and world class cuddle bug. She thrives on human affection and is happiest whenever she’s tucked in close for pets or playing with her favorite toys.

She adores wrestling with her older foster sister and would thrive with an older dog mentor to show her the ropes, though she’d be perfectly fine as an only dog, too. She’s also done wonderfully with resident cats, responding to mild redirection whenever her curiosity gets the best of her. Ceecee is an absolute angel in her crate, sleeping soundly and making rest time a total breeze.

Like any young pup, she’s actively learning her puppy basics like potty training, leash manners, confidence outside the home, and figuring out what’s a chew toy versus what isn’t! She is very smart, eager to please, food motivated, and a quick learner. Ceecee’s ideal adopters will be patient and dedicated to continuing her training so she can be a confident, adventure loving pup!

Hi, I’m Bumbo!

I’m a little scruffy low rider with a BIG personality. I was rescued from being euthanized in New Mexico with my siblings, and I’m pretty happy to be here!

I’m outgoing, playful, and basically the life of the party. I love playing with my foster brother, I’m great with kids, and I always want to be part of whatever fun is happening.

I’m also a very good boy in my crate overnight and follow my foster brother out to go potty. I really love snacks, toys and snuggles so I hope you have those. I also am apparently I’m pretty photogenic, so I hope you have a lot of iCloud storage.

I may be little and low to the ground, but I’ve got a whole lot of personality and even more love to give. Fill out an app and let’s get this thing goin’.

Smidge is a tiny 5-pound Chihuahua mix with a whole lot of personality. She was on the euthanasia list in New Mexico, and thankfully she made her way to us instead.

She’s a sweet, playful little girl who loves running around the yard, going for walks in her harness, and playing with the bigger dogs in her foster home. She may be tiny, but she definitely doesn’t act like it!

When she’s not busy playing, Smidge wants to be with her people. She follows her foster mom around like a little shadow and loves nothing more than curling up in a lap. She even sleeps through the night and would much rather sleep next to you than in her crate if given the choice.

She’s doing well with potty training and has a great appetite. She can be a little nervous when she first meets someone, but once she knows she’s safe, she turns into the sweetest little cuddle bug.

And those ears! 😍 Her big ears, little deer-head face, and sleek black coat make her pretty darn adorable.

Smidge is looking for a home that will give her a little time to come out of her shell and then let her be your tiny sidekick. She’s playful, cuddly, silly, and just wants to be loved.

We’re pretty sure whoever ends up with Smidge is going to have a little shadow following them around for a very long time. 🖤

Meet Tunnel! ❤️

Tunnel was rescued from being euthanized in New Mexico, and we are so happy he’s here with us! He is such a fun little guy and has the biggest personality.

Tunnel loves to run around and play, pounce on things, chase balls, and shake his toys around. He’s adventurous and brave, but he’s also a total sweetheart who loves having his tummy rubbed. He sometimes sleeps on his back, which is pretty adorable. 😂

He sleeps in his kennel and does two 45-minute kennel times each day. He’s doing well with potty training and will go outside when taken out after eating and when he wakes up.

He does great with the 4 and 8 year olds in his foster home and really is just the kind of puppy who makes you laugh all day long. He has such a happy, goofy personality and is always ready to have some fun!

Meet Ayla. ❤️

Ayla is the sweetest little girl who was rescued from being euthanized in New Mexico, and we are so grateful she got her second chance.

This girl is an absolute lover. She loves to follow her people everywhere, curl up at your feet for a nap, and give plenty of kisses. Belly rubs are definitely one of her favorite things! She is smart, gentle, and has the prettiest eyes.

Ayla is doing great with her kennel and actually enjoys her space. She sleeps peacefully in her kennel through the night and is doing well with potty training when taken outside. She loves playing and wrestling with other puppies and enjoys toys, little balls, and chewing on sticks or anything else she can find.

Ayla is great with kids and did wonderfully around children ages 4 and 7. She loves water and is just starting to discover her voice, with the occasional little growl when she’s wrestling and playing.

Ayla is truly the sweetest girl and is ready to find a family who will love her as much as she deserves. After everything she’s been through, we can’t wait to see her get the happy ending she deserves.

Meet Meadow! She’s a silly, s***ky, and playful Husky girl who was rescued from being euthanized in New Mexico. She came to Sunshine pregnant, was an incredible mom to her babies, and she’s now looking for her forever people to call her own. Meadow is your classic Husky - energetic, opinionated, and down for anything that involves fun and zooms. She would be the perfect companion for someone who lives an active lifestyle, especially outdoors. She’s loved hiking and does great on the trails!

Meadow takes a second to warm up to new people, but her confidence grows quickly and with patience she will show her silly and playful side once she has a chance to get to know you. Meadow does well with other dogs, and loves to play. She’s been fostered with male and female dogs, though she does have a high prey drive so a cat-free home is recommended.

Meet Seaweed!

If you’re looking for a velcro dog, you’ve found your girl.

Seaweed was rescued from being euthanized in New Mexico, and now she’s ready to find the family she was always meant to have.

Seaweed is a total love bug, the sweetest little shadow, and happiest when she’s close to her people. Physical touch is her love language. The moment you start petting her, she melts into you and closes her eyes, soaking up every second of affection.

She has adorable little bursts of puppy energy but is just as happy curling up on the couch or joining you for a hike or swim. Rough play isn’t really her style. She’d much rather play gently with another dog or roll over for belly rubs, so she’d do best with gentle dog friends and respectful children.

Seaweed is a smart puppy who responds well to a gentle “no-no” and is eager to learn. Like any puppy, she’ll need continued training, patience, and guidance as she learns what’s okay to chew and builds good potty habits.

She’s been sleeping through the night outside of her crate and loves being near her people. She does have some separation anxiety and may have an accident if left before she’s finished going potty, but these are very normal puppy behaviors that should continue to improve with consistency and maturity.

Sweet Sage needs you to share this post so she can find her people. She was rescued from being euthanized in CA because she had wounds on her neck and a bad upper respiratory infection. She recovered from that and then came to Colorado where we had X-rays done and discovered that her spine is almost entirely fused and she has hip dysplasia. Our vet thinks she either had a really big infection or multiple spinal injuries. Her pain is under control and she’s doing great, but she won’t be the hiking dog most Coloradans want. Sage is also deaf, and sleeps more soundly than any of us.

Sage is the most loving dog, truly. She rests her head in your lap, gives you her paw, gives kisses & pushes her head into you for snuggles. She is gentle and just really wants to bond. Sage loves belly rubs and even rolled over to have her nails done. She likes to be close to you but is very crate trained too. Sage is fully house trained and non destructive. Sage likes going on walks when it’s cool out, playing with her toys and eating snacks. She loves chomping and chasing the hose. Sage considers herself super helpful and wants to be in the mix of any and all house projects.

She was kenneled with a dog in CA, and has been better with meeting one of her fosters small dogs, but we think she needs slow intros.

Sage would do best in a house without a lot of stairs because of her spine and hips, or a house that she can stay on one level. She still really enjoys long walks but just can’t do anything high impact.

Everyone say, Hi Otto!! Mr. ears wants to see all of your favorite places. This almost 4-month-old Heeler mix is the perfect blend of playful, s***k, and sweet. He loves exploring, playing fetch, carrying toys around, and romping with his foster English Springer Spaniel brother. He was rescued from being euthanized in New Mexico because he had a tail injury. We had the end of his tail amputated and healing wonderfully!

He’s incredibly smart, takes social cues beautifully from the older dogs in his foster home, sleeps through the night, and is making really great progress with crate training. He is very food / treat motivated!

When the adventures are over, he’s all about belly rubs and learning that cuddling on the couch is pretty awesome too.

If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who will happily join you on every adventure and then snuggle up afterward, this little guy is who you’ve been waiting for.

Meet Sylvie! She is a 9-month-old pup with unforgettable green eyes and a playful spirit. She loves zooming around the yard, collecting plush toys, and turning them into confetti in record time. She’s energetic, goofy, treat-motivated, and always ready for an adventure.

Sylvie absolutely adores other dogs and has done well with cats too, whether they’re playful or prefer to keep to themselves. She walks nicely on a leash, sleeps quietly in her kennel, and is doing great with potty training in her foster home.

One thing to know about Sylvie: she takes a little time to warm up to new people and unfamiliar situations. Because she came from an unstable environment, she can be cautious at first while she figures out whether she’s safe. With patience, consistency, and a little kindness, her true personality shines through. Once she trusts you, she becomes a sweet, silly, affectionate companion who loves being part of the fun.

Sylvie is looking for a family that understands that trust is built over time and that the best dogs are often the ones who bloom slowly.
