Park Hill Art Club The Park Hill Art Club is a community based art club for artists in the Denver area.

The Park Hill Art Club (PHAC), founded in 1974, is an active group 295 members. Most live in the Park Hill/East Denver area, but some are as far away as Evergreen, Longmont, and Castle Rock. Club members enjoy the spacious classrooms on the second floor of the Park Hill Methodist Church. An ever evolving art club, PHAC has two members only art show & sale twice a year put together by members thems

elves. Park Hill Art Club is now in the process of developing the "PHAC Gives Back" program that emphasizes giving opportunities that members actively support for the betterment of others.

It's Plein Air Painting Season!! Every Thursday meet at 9am for members and friends. Bring Art supplies, water, sun block, chair, umbrella, sunscreen, lunch.

Thursday May 28th Red Rocks Park Spectacular red rock formations, view of Denver. Meet at visitors center (Trading Post.) Take I-70 to the Morrison exit. Go left (South) on Highway 26 to park entrance than follow the signs. Restrooms, water, restaurant available at Trading Post.

Thursday June 4th Star K Ranch Part of Sand Creek Green Way in Aurora. Take I-70 East to Chambers. Go South on Chambers to Smith Road. Go East on Smith Road to Laredo. Turn right and follow curve about 1block. The Morrison Nature Center (Star K Ranch) will be on the left. Ranger station, Water, indoor restrooms, trails, trees, deer, & small creek.

Thursday June 11th 17 Mile House, Farm and park. 8181 S. Parker Rd. Farm house and old buildings with a couple of windmills. Close to cherry Creek. From Denver going south,take Parker Rd past Arapahoe Rd South. You will pass Bronco Pkwy and Tagawa”s exit. There is another road then a quick exit from the right lane. There is a large parking lot and out house but no water.

Thursday June 18th DeLaney Farm 170 So Chambers Rd. Aurora, Co 80017 Old farm, pretty streem area and farm buildings. Out house

Thursday June 25 Littleton Historic Museum. Re-creation of early life in Colorado. An 1860’s cabin, a house built in 1910. Barns, farm fields, people in period costumes, blacksmith shop etc. South on Broadway to Littleton Blvd., to Gallup Street. Turn left (South) and go several blocks to entrance and parking lot.

Special Open Studio Wed. June 17 From Noon to 3:15

Artist Pam McLaughlin has graciously offered to be present for critiques. This is your chance to socialize with members while receiving creative input !
Bring your projects to paint, snacks and a painting you’d like to have critiqued. This will be held in the open studio (room TBD) and is open to all members, although critiques will focus on watercolor.

PHAC is having another yard sale! Past years’ sales were a HUGELY successful, and we need your
help to make this sale equally as good or beEer .
WHEN? The sale is June 13, 9am-2pm
WHERE? Park Hill United Methodist Church (PHUMC) parking lot
WHAT TO DONATE?
• Art and craQ supplies you’re not using.
• Artwork you want to pass on: “Failed” or pracVce painVngs, reuseable canvases
• Art books.
• PLEASE DON’T bring any large or heavy items that may be difficult to sell or difficult for
volunteers to move aQer the sale if they don’t sell.
How the sale works:
• The sale is part of the Annual Park Hill Neighborhood Yard Sale
• There are no set prices. Customers pay what they can.
• PHAC donates 100% of our proceeds immediately aQer the sale. In past years we
donated to PHUMC and to Historic Grant Avenue where we hold classes.
• Any unsold items are donated. Last year, donated unsold items to the Colorado CoaliVon
for the Homeless and the Art Gym.
How to donate:
• Start going through you stuff and see what art supplies you want to donate.
• Ideally, you will drop off your donaVon at PHUMC between 8 and 9am on June 13.
• If you cannot drop off on the morning of June 13, email Ruby at akaruby2001@yahoo to
make arrangements for early drop-off.
Want to help with the sale?
• We will need a few volunteers to help with setup, breakdown, and sales.
• Volunteering for this event is fun. You might get first look at items for sale, or you might
meet some of the amazing arVsts, art lovers, art students, and wannabe arVsts who will
shop the sale.
