General information

Bennie L. Williams Spiritual Voices has gained well-deserved acclaim performing choral arrangements of Negro Spirituals, the songs that arose out of communities of enslaved Africans from the 18th and 19th centuries. This group of forty members has performed this hauntingly beautiful music in the Denver area and nationally – at the National Association of Negro Musicians conventions in Las Vegas, Nevada and Colorado Springs, Colorado; at the Heritage Festival of Negro Spirituals in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; at the Whitney Plantation in Wallace, Louisiana; and at the Ebony Chorale’s 20th Anniversary Celebration in West Palm Beach, Florida.
