APPLY 🚨‼️ This summer, YAASPA is offering 3 different summer programs that are meaningful, impactful, worth your time, and look good on college applications too. This is your sign:

💙SSPI: Social Sciences & Policy Institute. For all 8th-12th graders (June 9–June 18):

Dive into real-world issues and learn how society, systems, and policies shape everyday life. Through interactive workshops, discussions, and hands-on activities, you’ll build critical thinking skills and explore how change actually happens. You’ll also connect with professionals and start seeing your future in a whole new way.

💙Young Leaders of Color: Summer of Activism. For all 9th - undergrad students (July 6–July 31):

Turn your voice into action. Work alongside activists, get involved in real community projects, and build leadership skills that go beyond the classroom. This is where you learn how to speak up, take initiative, and make a real impact while building strong connections with people just like you.

💙ARTivism for all 5th - 8th graders (July 6–July 31):

Where creativity meets purpose. Explore how art, storytelling, and self-expression can be powerful tools for change. You’ll create, collaborate, and use your voice in ways that inspire both yourself and your community.

As we begin 2026, we wish everyone a Happy New Year. ✨ Our YAASPA team started the year by coming together for vision boarding, meaningful conversations, and engaging awareness presentations. It was a positive and inspiring experience for both our participants and team as we welcomed a new year of growth and impact.💙

It was such a special night at YAASPA’s Holiday Karaoke & Sweater Party, filled with music, and community 🎤🎄.
From the generosity in our donation room to the relaxing chair massages and acupuncture, the love and care shared were truly felt by everyone.

Spent our Friday exploring the community in north Aurora and ways to better serve our clients. Sharing information at Aurora Public Schools Aurora Public Schools Professional Learning and learning more at the ABC Collective with DBOA, Young Aspiring Americans for Social and Political Activism-YAASPA and The Apprentice of Peace Youth Organization The community made their voices heard, can’t wait to see all the programming come to fruition! 🏫 ✌🏼 🥊🎧💇‍♀️
