Thank you to all attendees who made CCN’s Day at the Beach a great event! While this is always one of our favorite events, there was an energy in the thin mountain air that seemed to make the day brighter and the food better.

Despite the challenging snowpack conditions, the open runs had surprisingly good snow. Clear skies and the warm sun made it feel like a real beach front event for most of the day.

As always, the best part of the day was getting to spend time together as friends rather than as clients/vendors/service providers. It is the hope of the CCN Sponsors, Board, and Executive Board that you all had a wonderful day, deepened existing connections, and were able to meet a few new people as well.
 
Thanks to our Sponsors for making the event possible, to all those on the Board who assisted throughout the day checking people in, bar tending, and keeping the food stocked. Special thanks to Keith Callender, Mike Kelly, Jon Williams, and Barb Hanson for preparing and delivering the food, and again to Keith for keeping it piping hot and ready to serve. Renee Boulet, Philip Eidenschink, and Kurt Winfield made sure that we had beverages, including what were apparently toe-curling Bloody Mary’s.

For the first time in three years the bus was essentially trouble free, considering the mostly clear roads and the presence of on-board facilities. Thank you to everyone who attended our sold-out 2026 New Year Kickoff Event! The venue was gorgeous, the food was delicious, the drinks were flowing, and the live music was amazing. We also gave away some really awesome gifts again this year!

“Smokey, this is not ‘Nam. This is bowling. There are rules.” - Walter, from The Big Lebowski. However, we mostly just had fun! Everyone enjoyed a massive buffet of pizza, chicken nuggets, veggies, and all types of other bar food. Getting into the Big Lebowski theme, Eric was dressed up as Walter, Jenni was dressed up as the sun-tanning Bunny, and Ben was dressed up as The Dude. 😆 Prizes were awarded for first, second, and third place high scores, plus the biggest loser. Congrats to the winners! Thank you to everyone who braved the cold & snow to join us! Hopefully that got you in the mood for the upcoming “Day at the Beach” ski day!

The New Year Kick-Off party was a raging success! The live band, Slopeside, was awesome, the food was delicious, the lines at the bars were short, and the conversation was flowing. Everyone left (if they remembered) with a gifted bottle of wine. It was great to start off 2025 catching up with friends, and creating new connections. We have so many fun events lined up for the year, so mark your calendars and don’t forget to register for Big Lebowski Bowling that’s coming up in February (which is just around the corner!) Cheers! 🥂
