Join us for a night of laughs that truly makes a difference. Animal Rescue of the Rockies is proud to present Comedy to the Rescue at the iconic The Denver Comedy Lounge on Thursday, July 9.

This special fundraiser features comedian Clay Foley and his nationwide “Comedy to the Rescue” series—created specifically to support animal rescue organizations. Clay is a longtime advocate for animal welfare, former cruelty investigator, and foster caretaker for dogs and cats. His show is a heartfelt, hilarious tribute to rescue organizations, volunteers, and the animals whose lives are saved every day.

Opening the evening is Denver-based comedian Sam Ellefson, known for his latest special BONES OF STEEL on YouTube.

Your ticket includes access to the show plus delicious buffet-style Asian small bites to enjoy throughout the evening. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the show begins at 7:00 PM.

Net proceeds directly support the lifesaving work and daily operations of Animal Rescue of the Rockies.

💚 HAPPY TAILS 💚

Remember Chowder? This resilient little guy is now officially Charlie—or, more formally, Sir Charles Chowder 😄

His mom recently shared an update, and it's clear that Charlie is thriving. He's become the perfect companion, loves his daily walks, and has even started daycare with his adoptive brother, George. He's taking to training like a champ and recently enjoyed his first Rockies Bark at the Park game—and his first-ever pup cup! ⚾🐾

Most incredible of all is Charlie's transformation. Since being rescued from severe neglect, he's put on weight, his hair has grown back beautifully, and he's looking healthy, happy, and ready for his first grooming appointment.

His mom says she couldn't imagine a more perfect fit and is grateful every day that their paths crossed. Stories like Charlie's are why we do what we do.

Thank you to Petfinder Foundation for awarding Animal Rescue of the Rockies a No Fee/Low Fee All Love Adoption Grant! 🐾 This grant helps us reduce adoption fees for select adult and senior cats, giving them an extra boost in finding the loving homes they deserve during kitten season.

Meet Horace, a sweet and chatty 9-year-old gentleman who has blossomed in foster care and loves affection and gentle pets. Thanks to this grant, wonderful cats like Horace have an even better chance of finding their perfect match. ❤

💚 HAPPY TAILS 💚

Cartwheels has truly leveled up—from shopping carts to warm laps!

This handsome guy was living in the cart stand at a local Target, where kind employees made sure he had food, but it was no place for a cat to call home. Thankfully, ARR foster Paula stepped in and gave him a chance at a better life.

Though fearful at first, Cartwheels soon discovered that soft beds, tasty treats, and indoor living were pretty wonderful. After being neutered and vetted, he was ready to find his forever family.

While he remained a shy boy around most visitors, everything changed when Joy came to meet him. Cartwheels walked right up to her and climbed into her lap—and Joy knew she had been chosen. 🥹

Now known as Ted, he recently celebrated his one-year adoptiversary with Joy. He spends his days enjoying all the lap time, snuggles, and treats he deserves.

Huge thanks to Paula for giving him a second chance and to Joy for providing the loving, peaceful home where he could truly blossom. We're so happy for Ted and his mom!

Sadie is still waiting for her happily ever after 💚

This sweet 3-month-old pup has watched all of her siblings find homes, and now it's her turn to find the forever family she's been dreaming of. Despite a rough start in life, Sadie has blossomed into a playful, affectionate little cuddlebug.

💚 Sweet snuggle buddy after a fun day of play
