When community shows up, real change happens.

Thank you to CSPV The Game Changers, and all of our incredible community partners for coming together to celebrate the impact we’re making together.

Moments like this remind us that our collective work truly matters.

No matter who’s in office, our commitment to our youth, our partners, and violence prevention does not stop. We will continue finding ways to uplift the Game Changers and support the communities we serve.

Black history is a living legacy passed down through courage, creativity, and community.

At The Power of One, we honor the leaders who came before us and the young people who are shaping what’s next. Our work is rooted in protecting, uplifting youth voices, and creating pathways to safety, healing, and opportunity.

We don’t just celebrate history, we carry it forward. This is our history. This is our power.

Today we honor the life, legacy, and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. King reminded us that “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”

The Power of One believes service looks like showing up for our community, protecting our youth, sharing resources, and choosing unity over violence every single day.MLK Day is not just a day off. It’s a day on.

A day to reflect, take action, and ask ourselves how we can be part of the change we want to see. Let’s continue building safer, healthier, and more connected communities together.

Because when one of us steps up, it creates the power for many.

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to the DJ Armstrong Foundation for allowing The Power of One to be part of their 5th Annual Christmas Giveaway.

Because of this incredible collaboration, the day was a true success serving hundreds of individuals and families, spreading holiday joy, and making sure our community felt supported during a time that can be especially challenging.

Many families in our community rely on shared resources during the holidays and that’s okay. Staying connected to support systems helps reduce stress and strengthens families.

That’s why we encourage everyone to download and use The Power of One app, where you can find trusted local resources, events, and support not just during the holidays, but year-round.

Together, we are building safer, healthier, and more connected communities one download, one resource, and one act of
care at a time.

The Game Changers need your support during Colorado Gives!

Our youth are doing powerful, life-changing work to prevent violence and build safer communities in Northeast Denver, but we can’t do it alone.

The Game Changers are dedicated young leaders committed to uplifting their peers, creating positive outlets, and breaking cycles of violence through advocacy, storytelling, mentorship, and community action.

Your donation helps us continue:
• Youth-led violence prevention projects
• Community Chronicles media work
• Leadership development & training
• Safe spaces for teens to learn, grow, and heal
• Real solutions designed by youth, for youth

Every dollar makes a difference and every share helps us reach someone who believes in this mission.

Please consider donating or sharing our Colorado Gives Day link to keep this work alive.

Together, we can build a safer, stronger future for our young people. Link is in the bio.
