After money is raised, our members get to work making sure it goes where it can make a meaningful difference for Colorado kids.

This week, that meant visiting A Precious Child as part of DCF’s grant review process—touring their facility, learning more about their programs, asking questions, and seeing firsthand how they serve disadvantaged and at-risk youth in our community.

From application review and onsite interviews to committee recommendations and a final vote by our full membership, our members are involved every step of the way.

Raising the money is only half the job. Being thoughtful about where it goes is the other half.

Ever wonder what happens to the money after the party ends?

Raising it is only half of what we do.

Each year, DCF members dedicate 1,250+ hours to reviewing grant applications, meeting with local nonprofits, asking the tough questions, and determining where the dollars we raise can make the greatest impact for Colorado kids.

It’s not a decision made by a select few. Every member participates in the process, and our full membership ultimately votes on where the funds go.

We work hard to raise it. We work just as hard to give it away responsibly.

You’ve seen the Denver Polo Classic. You’ve been to Denver Barn Party. But do you know what happens behind the scenes? 👀

DCF brings together 100+ young professionals with one goal: make a meaningful difference for Colorado kids.

We throw unforgettable events to raise money, develop the next generation of philanthropic leaders, and put our members to work finding high-impact local charities where those dollars can do the most good.

In 2025 alone, that meant more than $1.5 million granted to 76 local children’s charities.

Raise money. Give money. Repeat. 💙

A few of our DCF members had the chance to step onto Coors Field to celebrate a generous donation from the Colorado Rockies and PNC through the Saves for Kids program.

This support helps DCF continue investing in organizations doing meaningful work for at-risk youth right here in Denver.

A huge thank you to the Colorado Rockies and PNC for stepping up to the plate for our community and helping us create even more impact for Colorado kids.

We’re grateful to have partners who believe in the mission as much as we do.

We have a lot of fun raising the money. But what happens next is what really matters.

Every dollar DCF raises is taken seriously. Our members personally review grant applications, interview local charities, ask the tough questions, and work together to determine where those funds can make the greatest impact for Colorado kids.

It’s thoughtful. It’s thorough. And it’s something every single DCF member plays a part in.
