On Tuesday, June 14 from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Boulder County Community Planning & Permitting and Public Works departments are hosting a virtual (online) open house meeting on transportation funding for Boulder County. Mountain Peak Life-NAS is currently hiring a part time Chef who will be responsible for overseeing all food preparation in alignment with laid out guidelines from our grant funders while ensuring high quality standards. This position will be responsible for planning and preparing menus for our twice weekly congregate lunch service and our weekly homebound/senior meal delivery program. This position requires some flexibility to be available for events, dinners, events and fundraisers.
This role leads and manages all aspects of the MPL kitchen operations within the Nederland Community Center to ensure all grant deliverables are met while focusing on streamlining kitchen processes to ensure high quality service delivery to our participants and stakeholders. Work with the Director to track budgets, invoices, inventory control, menu development with a strength based approach.
A passion for creating high quality food. Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Serve Safe certified or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months. Must pass a background check and have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.. High school diploma or GED, 2 plus years of back of the house kitchen operations, hospitality.
This is a part-time, 20-25 hrs/wk position starting at $19-$22/hr with a three month performance review. PTO and holidays compensations based on the number of hours worked a week and holidays. Please send a cover letter and resume to Mountain Peak Life-Director
