This issue includes stories and photos from the trip to Alaska, the high mountain horseback fishing trip, the cattle drive, elk hunting in Wyoming and moose hunting in Maine. You could be hunting pheasants on Saturday, October 10th at Rocky Mountain Roosters. You and 3 buddies will enter a field guaranteed to hold 20 birds. How many can your team bag? This is a competition / fundraiser. We're raising money to take Veterans and first responders on all expenses paid outdoor adventures. You want to hunt pheasants anyway. On September 11th, 2001, FDNY Firefighter Tim Duffy was off duty, at home, working on his Harley Davidson motorcycle when terrorists hijacked a plane and flew it into one of the twin towers. Tim saw the second plane, hit the 2nd tower. Tim jumped on his Harley and rode to the fire station. The Firefighters on duty were already gone on their way to the twin towers. Tim grabbed his gear, jumped back on his bike and headed to the site to help. That's what first responders do. That's why American Heroes In Action honors our Firefighters and other first responders. As an organization, and as a nation, we will never forget. FYI, Tim's motorcycle is currently on display at the Harley Davidson museum in Milwaukee, WI.

We have good news to report for Veterans and first responders. Dave Proffit, American Heroes In Action President and Founder, tells AHIA News that, through July 31st, American Heroes in Action has held 38 adventures in 6 different states for 152 Veterans and first responders. Dave tells AHIA News that the organization already has 7 adventures planned for the month of August, and will take 37 participants on these adventures in 4 different states, including their first ever adventure in California. According to Dave, American Heroes in Action will be taking many more Veterans and first responders on adventures, this fall, as the weather cools down and hunting seasons start to open up.

It's official, Hero Haul, a Veteran owned moving company is the sponsor of the golf ball cannon at the 6th Annual Hacking Fore Heroes Golf Tournament. Players will be able to launch their golf ball up to 400 yards. The tournament will be held Sunday, August 16th at the Hyland Hills Golf Course - GOLD Course, in Westminster, CO. This is one of the many fun ways we're raising money to provide all expenses paid outdoor adventures for Veterans and first responders. American Heroes In Action has two new drawings coming up. We're drawing one winner for a fully guided moose hunt in Maine, and one winner for a fully guided, ladies only, cow elk hunt in Wyoming. Help us sell calendars for the Monday Gunday drawings and you could win a hunt. After tonight, there are still 24 prizes left to win. Prizes from Browning, Smith & Wesson, Mossberg, Wi******er, Savage, Ta**us and more. Your ticket will be in every drawing we have for the rest of the year. Thanks to a generous donation from Sportsman's Cove Lodge - Alaska, American Heroes in Action has 4 men spending their Independence Day fishing in Alaska. We have Justin, who served in the Army and as a firefighter, Brennen, who served in the Navy, Mark, who served in the Marines and in law enforcement, and Joseph, who served in the Army.
