Take 5 minutes and nominate an outstanding Girl Scout volunteer for an Adult Recognition Award and acknowledge their dedication to shaping positive experiences for our girls. North Texas Giving Day is coming up and, if you were so inclined, it would be AMAZING if we could fill our Family Partnership Fund and bring Girl Scouts to more North Denton girls.
For those that don't know, the Family Partnership Fund is where we get our "financial aid" for girls seeking to join Girl Scouts that can't afford the registration fees, uniforms, and more. So, having a robust fund in our neck of the woods means we can bring more girls to the enrichment activities we so love.

Need Community Service hours? Here is a great opportunity for you. The Explorium-Denton Children's Museum is having their 8th annual fundraiser called "Touch A Truck"-Please email me at [email protected] for the links.

As previously mentioned, our 8th Annual Touch A Truck Fundraiser is a community-wide event that involves public and private entities offering a unique opportunity to people all over Denton County, allowing children of all ages to explore vehicles of all types. It will be located in the parking lot of the C.H. Collins Athletic Complex and will take place from 9 am to 3 pm. Each year we have over 1,000 visitors and we always need volunteer help.

There are several areas that we will need assistance with and Scouts can register for. When they travel to the SignUp Genius, they will see positions listed under 4 shifts:
• Event set-up and breakdown
• Directing traffic
• Family Engagement
• Event Support
Depending on the shift the scouts register for, breakfast and/or lunch will be provided. Orientation for the event will be held in person and virtually before Touch A Truck on April 7th. If the scouts are under the age of 15, they will need to have their troop leader sign participation waivers and be responsible for their activities. The Scouts with their drivers licenses are encouraged to register for Family Engagement Volunteering to drive our Barrel Train for kids.

If you share this link, Scouts will be able to register to volunteer at Touch A Truck. I'll send additional information and reminders when the date gets closer they'll be prepared for the big day.
