With the multiple critical emergency alerts we have been receiving, this one is quite serious. Turn around and don’t drown.
🚨 Heads Up, Denton County 🚨
Mother Nature apparently skipped her morning coffee and went straight for the fire hose.
A Flash Flood Warning has been issued until 10:45 AM for portions of southeastern Denton County, along with Dallas and Collin Counties. Heavy thunderstorms are producing rainfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour, with an additional 2 to 3 inches possible this morning.
🌧️ Some areas have already received 1 to 3 inches of rain, and flash flooding is either ongoing or expected to develop quickly.
Areas that may be impacted include:
📍 Lewisville
📍 Carrollton
📍 Frisco
📍 The Colony
📍 Other portions of southeastern Denton County
⚠️ Expect flooding of:
• Low water crossings
• Small creeks and streams
• Roadways and underpasses
• Poor drainage and low-lying areas
If you encounter a flooded roadway, remember:
