Dear Friends,
Nicol and Becca are sad to announce that we are stepping down as volunteer leaders and will shut down the Denton chapter, effective May 31, 2025.
After 7 years of serving Denton area children, this is not a decision made lightly or in haste. Several factors have made it clear that our mission is no longer sustainable.
We have the resources we need to serve for the final school break at the end of the year as promised. We will have a few more volunteer opportunities including inventory, two more public packs, and final delivery. We are not scheduling any private events, but notes and decorated boxes done off-site are still very much welcome.
We have loved providing opportunities for kids to help kids. We have been inspired by the love you've shown to our neighbors when volunteering on and off site. We are grateful for the many relationships built and grown. It has been an honor to serve our community's children and their families alongside you all.
Thank you for your support, donations, time, effort, trust, and encouragement. Our hope is that you will continue, as we will, to support other efforts to ease food insecurity throughout Denton and the surrounding area.
