Denton Comic Studies Conference This conference will explore:

*Comics Across the Curriculum
*Comics Across Culture,
*Comics Across the Community, and
*Comics Across the Classroom.

UNT Comic Studies -- features local and national scholars, artists, and writers whose work focuses on comics or graphic novels and comics-related popular culture. Highlighting the diverse UNT faculty who use comics or graphic novels in their teaching and research, panels will also examine the community
connections and interdisciplinary value of bringing comics into student-centered learning environments! NEW HOME at comics studies

“Marjane Satrapi died of sadness a little over a year after the death of Mattias Ripa, her husband and the love of her life,” said a statement “from close friends and family” sent to France’s AFP newswire announcing her death on June 3. Ripa, a producer, actor and screenwriter, died on April 8, 2025.
