☕🍂 PTA Coffee Walk – October 20! 🍂☕

Our next Coffee Walk is coming up on October 20 (and don’t forget, the following Coffee Walk will be on November 16)!

We're always looking for volunteers to help make this special teacher appreciation event happen. Volunteers will meet at the PTA storage room (by the second set of stairs near the front door) at 8:00 AM to set up the cart before making rounds at 8:15 AM.

💙 Help us show our teachers and staff some love!
Please consider donating $5-$10 to our Teacher Appreciation fund. These small contributions help us purchase coffee, supplies, and treats that brighten our educators' day.

Meet the team: Nathalie Lea-PTA Parliamentarian

Hi, I’m Natalie Lea. This is my second year as Newton Rayzor Elementary’s PTA Parliamentarian. My daughters are in 5th and 3rd grades at Newton Rayzor this year. Both of my kids have enjoyed such wonderful, enriching experiences learning and growing in this nurturing, welcoming community. We are beyond blessed with incredible teachers and staff who truly care about our kids. I joined PTA so I could play a small part of giving back to this amazing school community. My kids have truly thrived here and we are so grateful for all the learning experiences Newton Rayzor’s IB curriculum offers!

When we are not busy with work/school, you can find us running around to various activities like Tamba marimba, Rayzor Runners, Rayzor Voices, Ballet Folklorico, Drama Kids, flute lessons, soccer, volleyball, playing with our hound mix, Kiki, or outside enjoying the beautiful fall weather (while it lasts) at Denton area festivals.

🐝🏃‍♀️ GET READY, NRE, FUN RUN IS ALMOST HERE! 🏃‍♂️🐝

One of our favorite NRE traditions is right around the corner!

🎉 Our Fun Run Fundraiser kicks off October 20 and culminates with the Fun Run during the school day on October 30. This exciting event brings our school community together to raise funds that support our students, teachers, and school programs all year long.

💛 Every student can participate by collecting donations and helping their class, grade level, and school reach fundraising goals. Along the way, students will work together to unlock fun rewards, including:
✨ Spirit and dress-up days
✨ Silly teacher challenges
✨ School-wide celebrations

🪙 Plus, get ready for our Coin Collection Challenge (October 26-30)! The grade level that collects the most coins will earn a special prize! 🏆

📣 Parents and family members will be invited to cheer on students during the Fun Run. Grade-level run times will be shared soon, so stay tuned!

Let's make this year's Fun Run our biggest, most exciting, and most successful fundraiser yet! Who's ready to run, have fun, and show their NRE spirit? 🐝❤️

🏆🐝 Student Membership Drive is ON! 🐝🏆

Did you know that students can be PTA members too? Our Student Membership Drive is happening all month long through October, and special prizes will be announced soon! Any student membership purchased since August 1 counts toward the contest, so there's still time to join and help your grade level climb the leaderboard!

Why should students join the PTA?
💛 Have a voice in their school community
🤝 Strengthen family-student involvement
🌟 Develop leadership and life skills
🏫 Build a greater sense of belonging
🎉 Help create a positive school culture

🚨 Current Standings Alert! 🚨
🥇 3rd Grade is currently in the lead! But several grade levels are close behind, and the race is far from over.

🏆 The grade level with the most student PTA members by the end of October will win: 🍦 Popsicles ⏰ Extra Recess

Who will take the crown? Third grade, can you hold onto the lead? Or will another grade level make a big comeback? 👀

🎉🐝 We Did It, NRE! 🐝🎉

We are excited to share that Newton Rayzor Elementary PTA has earned the Early Bird Achievement Award! 🏆

Thanks to the incredible support of our families, staff, students, and community, we've already reached 100% of our 2025-2026 total membership from last year... and we did it just two months into the new membership year! 💙💛

This is an amazing accomplishment and a testament to what our PTA can achieve when we come together with a shared purpose. Every membership represents support for our students, teachers, programs, and school community.

👏 A huge THANK YOU to our PTA leaders, volunteers, members, and everyone who has joined and encouraged others to do the same. Your enthusiasm and commitment have made this milestone possible!

But we're not done yet! We're excited to keep growing our membership and expanding our impact throughout the year.

Let's celebrate this achievement and continue building an even stronger NRE community together! 🐝❤️
