We are monitoring several outages across our service area tonight due to scattered strong storms.

Your REMC crews are responding and making repairs as safely and quickly as possible, but some of these outages could take a while to restore due to current conditions.

Increased Fire Danger - Central NC, June 18, 2026

Exceptionally dry fuels such as leaves and other tree litter combined with frequent wind gusts of 20 to 35 mph over all of central North Carolina will result in a risk for increased fire danger.

This means there is a risk for fire ignition and erratic fire behavior that can quickly get out of control.
