A peek at the beautiful works created by Members last week in our Therapeutic Thursday class, where they explored white charcoal on black paper. Using lighter colored charcoal provided an opportunity to approach shading from a different perspective.

Location: Denton location disclosed to buyer upon purchase

Limited seats. One undisclosed home in Denton, Texas. A five-course meal. A juried exhibition. Incredible people.

This October 15th, The Art Room opens the doors to "Parlor"--an underground dinner experience and juried art exhibition unlike anything The Art Room Denton has hosted before. Chef Brad Green of F.A.M. (Food. Adventures. Memories.) is behind the menu.

Keynote speaker Randall M. Good--the artist behind the ceilings you'll be dining under--will share the story of the room itself.

And throughout the night, a juried collection of original art selected by UNT's Elaine Pawlowicz will be on view and available to take home.

Every seat sold goes directly toward keeping The Art Room's studio open and free to the community members with mental health challenges who rely on it for connection, healing, and a creative outlet. Proceeds from art sales are divided between these North Texas artists and The Art Room.

This isn't a gala. It's an evening built to feel personal, with a room full of people who show up to give.

We've sold out all but one seat--it's your last change to join us! We hope to see you there.

Two voices will shape the evening at Parlor. ✨

Juror Elaine Pawlowicz, Associate Professor of Drawing & Painting at UNT, selected every piece in our exhibition. Keynote speaker Randall M. Good, a Denton-based Neo-Mannerist artist and writer, will share his work and story.

One dinner. One juried exhibition. A room full of art worth talking about, all supporting free studio programming at The Art Room with its mission to help community members' mental health through art and creativity.

Parlor is next Thursday—today's the day to reserve your seat. Purchase your ticket: https://theartroomdenton.org/event-store/parlor
