I’m putting this out there because KC Connects is entering a new stage of growth, and it is time to strengthen the organization with a few additional leaders and skilled volunteers. 🫴🏽
KC Connects is a nonprofit organization focused on expanding access to TV, film, storytelling, media education, and creative career exposure for students in grades 6–12—especially students who may not receive these opportunities through their schools.
We are currently looking to connect with U.S.-based individuals who may be interested in serving as:
• Voting board members
• Non-voting advisors
• Skills-based volunteers
You do not need to live in Texas, but you must be based in the United States and able to participate remotely, attend scheduled meetings, communicate consistently, and follow through on agreed responsibilities.
We are especially interested in people with experience in:
• Finance, accounting, budgeting, or bookkeeping
• Education, curriculum, or youth development
• Fundraising, grants, sponsorships, or partnerships
• Nonprofit governance or organizational development
• Marketing, communications, media, or community outreach
• Legal, compliance, risk, technology, or program operations
These opportunities are currently volunteer-based. As KC Connects secures sustainable funding, certain separate program, administrative, consulting, or operational responsibilities may have the potential to become funded. However, no future paid position is guaranteed.
We are looking for dependable people who genuinely connect with the mission and are ready to contribute—not simply hold a title.
