✨ We’re honored to announce our 2026 DB Award Honoree: Alex Coker. ✨

Join us as we celebrate Alex at our Boots & Bling Gala on October 2.

At just 22 years old, Alex has spent more than half his life navigating the challenges of NF2-related schwannomatosis, which he was diagnosed with at the age of 10. His journey has included two brain surgeries to preserve his hearing, two eye surgeries to correct muscle weakness caused by tumors, and countless MRIs, neurological evaluations, and hearing tests that began when he was only 5 years old.

Through every challenge, Alex has met adversity with remarkable courage, resilience, and determination. Rather than allowing his diagnosis to define him, he has chosen to live with hope, strength, and optimism. With the unwavering support of his family and friends, Alex continues to inspire those around him by embracing each day with perseverance and joy.

When he’s not attending medical appointments, Alex enjoys spending time with his beloved Shih Tzu, Dolph, and making memories with friends.

Alex’s story is a powerful reminder that strength isn’t measured by the obstacles we face, but by the courage we show in overcoming them. We are proud to recognize him as this year’s DB Award Honoree and can’t wait to celebrate him at Boots & Bling.
