14 yrs ago, on this day, this great Chapter of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. was founded at the University of North Texas. Alpha Tau since then, has impacted the community and reached hundreds of people throughout the years. We have endured much and overcome many obstacles, but yet we have preserved. Many of the great things this chapter has recently accomplished were a result of the work, leadership and determination that Shaun Chapa instilled in brothers as he worked along side with them, but it wouldnot have been possible had it not been for the generations of brothers who came before us. Happy Anniversary Alpha Tau Chapter. Descendants of the Sun, Guardians of the Temple. Heres to laying the foundation, thats gonna last from generation to generation.

As we all try to process this shocking news, We would like to thank everyone for your kind words, offers of support, and compassion that you have sent towards our Chapter, Brotherhood, Beloved Brother and his family. Shaun Chapa was an extraordinary human being who stood and fought for the needs and efforts of many. His impact nationwide will forever live on through his beautiful daughter, actions and the many memories we have to share. Tonight we will be able to share some of those memories as we will be gathering at the Memorial Flags on campus next to Willis Library at 7pm. We hope everyone can come together to stay strong during these trying times as we put together a proper memorial in the near future. Rest in Peace Brother Shaun E. Chapa.
