The ACNS Principles of Clinical Neurophysiology (PCNP) on-demand courses are available on the ACNS Learning Portal now through March 15, 2027. PCNP is the second program in the ACNS Educational Continuum, delivering basic and intermediate level CNP content to junior academic neurologists in a comprehensive package. Each course includes several hours of on-demand lecture content, handouts and resources, as well as two live-streamed Faculty Forums and a discussion board to engage directly with content experts.

Three languages options will be available for recorded lectures, including both closed captions and audio for accessible learning. Select English, Spanish, or French to read and listen to the lectures in your preferred language.

Registration for all courses is available ala carte with bundle pricing an option for all three flagship courses. Online registration will be available through March 12, 2027.

The ACNS Principles of Clinical Neurophysiology Courses (PCNP) are open for registration and will launch on September 14, 2026 with a NEW format to deliver basic and intermediate level CNP content to junior academic neurologists in a comprehensive package.

What's new for PCNP Courses:

On-demand courses will be available September 14, 2026 through March 15, 2027, giving registrants the opportunity to learn and review the preliminary content continuously for six months leading into the advanced courses presented at the ACNS 2027 Annual Meeting & Courses on March 4-7, 2027.

Two live-streamed Faculty Forums per course will be open to engage directly with content experts.

Choose from five in-depth courses ala carte or bundled:

Electromyography and Nerve Conduction Studies (EMG / NCS)
Intensive Care Unit EEG Monitoring (ICU EEG)*
Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (NIOM)*
Sleep
Stereo-Electroencephalography (Stereo EEG)*
*Courses available to bundle

ACNS’s educational activities are directed to clinical neurophysiologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, trainees in these disciplines, technologists and other physicians and researchers who utilize clinical neurophysiologic techniques and knowledge in the diagnosis and management of patients with disorders of the peripheral and central nervous system. Likewise, the courses can serve as a great refresher for those preparing for board exams.

Courses will also be available with Spanish subtitles.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Westmoreland. She had an impact and made a difference.

ACNS leadership is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Barbara Westmoreland, MD, FACNS.

Dr. Westmoreland was president of ACNS, then the American EEG Society, in 1992. She published extensively and gave numerous presentations at national and international meetings. Her interest in and dedication to teaching and education live on in those whose careers she helped to shape.

Our deepest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.
