Emma, came to the Wesley for free lunch during her freshmen year, she needed guidance to navigate her youth-group-faith changing in college, accompaniment in discerning God's call on her life and how that might translate into a choice of major, and, most urgently, Emma needed a place to live when her housing fell through after school had already started. Emma writes this about how the Wesley impacted her life in college:
“The Wesley was the cornerstone upon which I built my life in Denton. It got me my first apartment, my first decent job, my best friend, a bike, countless meals, a safe place to nap, and an absurd amount of parmesan cheese. I have lived in 10 different places since I began college, but the Wesley has been my home the whole time. I could not be more grateful for the love and support that building and community have given me. I would not be who I am today without them.”
