Thanks for visiting us, Pastor Frank! We’re excited to have y’all at burgers next week!

Pastor Frank visited the young folks of the Denton Wesley Foundation last night at the University of North Texas!

Next week the mantle of burger Dads passes to us in Nocona. We will need at least two volunteers to head down with Pastor Frank and make burgers for the students. We don't need to bring anything, just show up and cook!

Pastor Jenny and Pastor Marianne visited with the new staff and interns at today to help them better understand religious trauma and LGBTQ+ folks. Friends of the Family is a great partner in our ministry to embody Christ’s radical love to students by providing care to folks impacted by violence and abuse. Thanks for inviting us!💜

Huge thanks to Argyle United Methodist Church for serving with JOY at the Wesley this weekend! They went above and beyond doing repairs, yard work, and organizing so we can welcome new students without the chaos of the spring semester lingering around the building. We are so grateful for you all choosing to worship God with your hands and feet in our space on Sunday. Looking forward to seeing you in worship this coming week with Pastor Marianne preaching!

We are celebrating so much at Annual Conference in Wichita Falls this week!
🩵Our Associate Director, Rev. Jenny Bates, was ordained as a deacon in full connection!
🩵Several of our students and alumni represented us by leading in Opening Worship and serving as voting members from their home districts.
🩵Our Burger Baby, Rebekah, was baptized into Christ's holy church with folks from every single church helping to make the promise to raise her up in the faith
🩵Our board treasurer, Rev. Dale Tampke, was recognized as an Associate Member

We also so enjoyed visiting one of our alumni, Rev. Zach Landis, in his appointment at University UMC Wichita Falls, seeing the World's Littlest Skyscraper, and meeting new friends from all across the conference. The Wesley was also recognized in the General Board of Global Missions report for our work combatting food insecurity.

Denton Wesley students are locked at the annual conference. From business sessions to Voices of Justice lunch with the students are being celebrated for the work they already do and hearing about the work God calls us to do.
