When it comes to home safety, low-income seniors often face invisible barriers that put their comfort at risk. In this case, the broken down garage was very visible and the Denton Code Enforcement notified our senior she would be fined if it wasn't removed.

In Denton County, we witnessed a powerful transformation. Our team at Hearts for Homes stepped in to dismantle a dilapidated garage that posed a threat to a senior’s safety.

With each removed hazard, we restore dignity and security, enabling seniors to live with peace of mind.

Join us in recognizing these critical repairs that empower our vulnerable community.

We need a few more Case Managers to assist our seniors. We are looking for volunteers with a heart for seniors that can call and check on them, do some home visits, help refer them to other wrap around services and organize their repairs with our crews. Most need is for Lewisville, Carrolton and The Colony.

When a senior needs more than a repair, case management is the safety net they can't do without. It connects them to ongoing support, resources, and care that go beyond fixing a leaky roof. Because true help means ensuring they can age in place with dignity and peace of mind.

Small home repairs often go unnoticed, yet they can dramatically enhance senior safety at home.

Consider this: securing loose railings and testing smoke detectors could mean the difference between worry and peace of mind.

Empowering our elderly to live confidently in their homes is not just a responsibility—it's a transformative mission.

Together, let's make every home a sanctuary that champions safety for our beloved seniors.
