Hey scholars!

Our first general body meeting Friday was an overall success. We had officer introductions and a run down of expectations and volunteer opportunities throughout the year here at UNT!

If you missed this months meeting, no worries! As always, remember that the membership monthly meetings are for members only, and will be live-streamed on our discord as well as in person attendance.

Thank you to those that came last Friday, and we hope to see even more faces at our next meeting!

Good evening scholars.

Today is September 11th, 2023.

It’s been 22 years since two hijacked planes crashed into the twin towers, and a third landed in a field.

Thousands of people died, including civilians and first responders.

We hope you take today to thank a first responder, and spend time with your loved ones, as we remember the ones we lost a little over two decades ago.

Happy Friday Scholars!

We just wanted to announce the date for our first general meeting for the National Society of Collegiate Scholars within the UNT chapter will be NEXT Friday from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Business Leadership Building.

This event is for members only, so those not in NSCS can unfortunately not join us that evening.

If you have been emailed by NSCS and have not accepted your membership invite, please do so, and we hope to see you at our meeting!

Hey scholars! In case you’re not already in our discord, which is for NSCS members only, you may not have seen our VP of Community Service sending out an ask for donations! The following is that message, and we would appreciate your help getting people what they need.

Hey guys! For those that do not know me, my name is Uchenna Ozurigbo and I am the VP of Community Service for the 2023-2024 semesters! While we're getting ready to start the new semester and as we're buying all of our supplies, etc., I wanted to ask y'all to keep in mind our UNT Food Pantry, which works hard to assist students experiencing food insecurity, especially as things get busy for the start of the new semester. They have a couple important needs and, if you're able, donations would be greatly appreciated. I will be compiling a more comprehensive list of needs later on, but for now I will share a picture of the pantry's most needed items. You can bring your donations to our first chapter meeting, and we can collect them from there. Any contribution helps!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here and we’ll get that question to Uchenna!

PACE is an acronym, that stands for Planning to Achieve Collegiate Excellence.

Happy August, scholars! We are so excited to get into the new school year, and thought that introducing your new 2023-2034 University of North Texas NSCS Executive Board would be the best place to start the year!
