Dennison Rotary Dennison Rotary Club is a local club under the umbrella of Rotary International.

Members enjoy a sense of family and work toward the improvement of our community, world, health and well-being, peace and understanding. The Object of Rotary is to encourage the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster: First - The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service. Second - High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society. Third - The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's Personal, Business and Community Life. Fourth - The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Village is seeking a 501(3)c to operate the Dennison Ice Rink for the 2026 Season. The rink will be open from November 13 - January 3, 2027. It will have Friday, Saturday and Sunday hours. If you are interested, please contact the Village at 740-922-4072 ext. 3 with your interest.

Our guest at our club meeting this evening was Windy Reed representing the Newfoundland Club of America / Life and Rescue. Windy explained the processes of adopting a rescue Newfoundland. She further explained what their club did to assure that the dogs are healthy, remain healthy, that the dogs do have some health conditions that could be expensive. She has four Newfoundlands to which she brought one for the club to pet and love. She explained that the club locally uses the Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic and that they rescue dogs all over the country. The club depends on donations to keep their club funded with the ability to provide care for the animals. We appreciated her visit and presentation to which we provided a book for her to sign that will be given to the Claymont Public Library in her honor. The children's book given to her was entitled THE GLASS WITCH. Pictured in the photo is Club President Greg DiDonato with Windy Reed and her Newfoundland.

PLEASE SHARE to help us get this information out. The Dennison Rotary Blood Profile Is scheduled for October 10 and 17. Registration is open. Our basic screening offers the most complete and comprehensive blood profile in the area. We had the honor of hosting our 2026-2027 District Governor Ryan Boyce at our last meeting. DG Boyce gave an interesting presentation outlining how he became involved in Rotary and his goals for his years serving our District. Ryan praised our club for the many things we do and for becoming a 100% Paul Harris Fellow club. We presented him with a gift that included items made locally along with Koch Carmels, and items from the Dennison Railroad depot museum. Additionally, as standard with our club in the promotion of literacy, we presented DG Boyce with a book that will be donated to the Claymont Public Library in his honor bearing his signature. The book is entitled ALL WE NEED IS LOVE AND A REALLY SOFT PILLOW. We thank DG Boyce for his service to Rotary our District and club.

The special visitor to attend our Rotary Club meeting this week was Wilma Mullet, Executive Director of the Tuscarawas Arts Partnership. Wilma provided information about the T County Arts Partnership, their projects, of which Art on The Square is the most popular. Wilma also explained how people are being scammed by purchasing tickets to T County Venues in which individuals purchase tickets for performances on a website thinking that is legitimate only to find out that they were scammed. We wish to thank Wilma for her very informative and interesting program.
Club President Greg DiDonato is pictured with Wilma in presenting a children's book to honor Wilma, and the Arts Partnership. The book will be signed by Wilma and then given to the Claymont Public Library.
