EST Oct 2014, The Saving Shannie Foundation was created by Deanna Berry in an effort to bring awarness to a life threatning form of Laryngomalaica that her daughter Shantell "Shannie" has. Down's Syndrome along with a number of other health conditions. Throughout the years, Deanna has met parents who, like her, struggle daily to communicate with their children. ESPECIALLY in an emergency situation

. When Shantell was hospitalized in 2013, Deanna noticed Shantell (who is also non verbal) attempting to speak and actually pronouce words and repeat what was being said on the tablets. After fighting with the insurance with denials for a tablet to assist Shantell with her speech, The Saving Shannie Foundation was created to provide FREE android tablets that come equip with approved software to help reinforce their verbal skills. Our goal is to service 200 non verbal special needs children by the end of 2015 in South Carolina and in January 2016 to launch it's campaign to go NATIONAL!!!
