Crawford County Hunger Fighters will be set up Tuesday, April 21 at United Presbyterian Church in Denison.

Drive-thru pickup from 2:30–5:00 PM

If you could use a little extra help with groceries, stop on by.

One allotment per household
TEFAP form required (can fill out that day)

We are incredibly grateful to the John Edward Rath Charitable Foundation for their generous support of organizations across Crawford County including a $2,000 grant to Crawford County Hunger Fighters.

This funding helps us continue our mission of providing food assistance to families right here in our community. Every dollar makes a difference, and this support goes directly toward helping neighbors in need.

Thank you for investing in Crawford County and the people who call it home.

The John Edward Rath Charitable Foundation has awarded $400,000 in grants to projects and organizations across Crawford County.

Local recipients include the Friends of the Schleswig Fire Department and Crawford County Wellness Center (each receiving $40,000), the Manilla Fire Department, Crossroads of Crawford County, City of Deloit, Eventide Foundation, Norelius Community Library, Oakland Cemetery, and several others supporting fire services, community facilities, food programs, and local history efforts.

Because of your incredible support, Crawford County Hungry Fighters (CCHF) has just completed our 13th year of distributing food sacks to children in need through the Backpack Program! 🙌💙

For the 2024-2025 school year, we delivered an amazing 11,850 food sacks to 7 elementary schools across Crawford County — totaling $37,061.12 in value.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to:
• The dedicated teachers who help administer this program at the school level
• Rex at Our Savior Church, who faithfully sets up the tables and manages the mountain of cardboard each week
• The amazing captains and their weekly crews who assemble the sacks with love and care
• And of course, our generous sponsors and donors whose financial support makes all of this possible

All together, that’s over 125 volunteers working hand in hand to fight childhood hunger in our community.

God bless each of you. Thank you for being part of the mission. We can’t wait to see you again next school year!
