Criminal Justice Day -

When a community does not feel safe - it cannot thrive. The takeaway from this session is the heart that those in law enforcement serve with to protect our communities. We’re grateful to them.

Thank you to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office Sheriff Jason Ard Livingston Parish for an informative day.

Truly an interesting and educational day what it’s like to be in law enforcement, judicial system.

We also appreciate - for their time an attention to the class.

Heath Care & Social Concerns -

part of having a great community is Access to qualty health care - For years, Livingston Parish was underserved in that regard. So much so that in 2004, the then Livingston Parish Council and Administration invited North Oaks Health System to the provide services in the parish They accepted and clinics along with the facility at Satsuma was built.

Forward to now - and with the additions of Our Lady of the Lake - and now Baton Rouge General Medical Center expanding services into the parish.

We want to thank Oaks and OLOL for hosting our classes today. The insight and background were informative.

While we were at Satsuma. - we took a healthy walk 😎 over to the jet and tank on display at the exit. We also viewed the coming RV Resort and Airport locations from a distance.

Roundtable discussions on social concerns rounded out the day including a visit from Brian Sleeth of Purple Cow
