The Messenger's Christmas Land A Christmas family tradition since 1964 The story of the Messenger's Christmas Land starts over 50 years ago with Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Messenger Jr.

and their 9 kids. With just a few lights and home made animated scenes, word quickly spread about the unusual display for the public. The original location was at the Messenger's home in Red Oaks, Baton Rouge and then relocated in 1992 to Plantation Estates, Denham Springs where Mr. Clyde Messenger III took over for the next 21 years. Now, going on 58 years, this family tradition can still be visi

ted at the home of Mr. Jeremy Messenger off Prince Charles Street, Denham Springs. With lights everywhere, home made animated scenes, a timeline, and even the north pole, the display continues to open every Christmas season to all of the public with no charge. Come stop by and be apart of this 58 year Christmas tradition.

As we wrap up another Christmas Season at Messengers Christmas Land, we want to send out sincere gratitude to the many involved in helping this family tradition continue. Thanks to PARDs for allowing visitors to park at North Park, the Parish of Livingston for providing the Lights and Reader Board, the LP Sheriffs Dept. for providing support on select nights, and most importantly the neighbors of Prince Charles Street for your patience and support this season! We are watching the weather for tonight but as of now we are still opening at 6:00pm. And the big man himself, Santa, will be making an appearance.

With the anticipation of heavy crowds both Friday and Saturday nights, we will be opening the Christmas display up from 5:30 - 9:00pm. We will never turn off the lights as long as visitors are in the driveway. Please be careful crossing Eden Church Road!

Messengers Christmas Land elves have been hard at work. We are happy to say that we will open on Friday, November 28th at 6:00pm. We will run every night from 6:00-9:00pm until December 27th, weather permitting.
