🔥 Real talk: if you're a leader feeling stretched in ten directions right now, this throwback is for you.

At our last Livingston Young Professionals meeting, Justin Wax showed up and dropped some serious leadership gold. We're talking practical strategies for leading with purpose, developing the people around you, and building real influence without running yourself into the ground.

He tackled the questions every leader wrestles with:
âś… How do you multiply your impact instead of just adding more hours to your day?
âś… Why is developing your people one of the most powerful things you can do for your organization?
âś… What's really behind our struggle to delegate, and how do you learn to trust your team with the big stuff?
âś… How do leadership, culture, and systems actually work together to create lasting results?

If you were in the room, you know it hit different. If you weren't, well, this is your sign that you're missing out on some seriously valuable conversations!

Good news: you get another shot. Our next LYP meeting is coming up and it's the perfect time to jump in, whether you're a regular or this is your first time hearing about us.

Leadership matters—no matter what industry you're in.

We're excited to celebrate three Leadership Livingston graduates who also serve our Livingston Young Professionals community: Landon Collins, Kelsey Murray, and Tiffany Battistella.

Each brings a different professional background and perspective to the LYP Council, helping us create programs, connections, and opportunities that reach young professionals throughout Livingston Parish.

Today, the Livingston Young Professionals had the opportunity to hear from Kevin Triche, MSN, RN, CNL, Director of Nursing for Emergency Services at Our Lady of the Lake Livingston.
Kevin shared lessons from his leadership journey.

Some key takeaways from today's discussion included:

đź’ˇ Invest in your people through training and development
🤝 Build trust by being willing to work alongside your team
👏 Recognize and encourage others for a job well done
🌱 Create opportunities for growth and continuous improvement
❤️ Lead through service, empathy, and purpose

One thing that really stood out was Kevin's reminder that everyone needs their own kind of leadership. What motivates one person may not motivate another, and great leaders take the time to understand the people they serve. Leadership isn't about treating everyone the same—it's about recognizing what each person needs to succeed and helping them get there.

Thank you, Kevin, for sharing your experience and wisdom with our LYP members. We appreciate the opportunity to learn from leaders who are making a difference in our community every day.

Yesterday’s Livingston Young Professionals meeting was one for the future—literally 💼✨

We had the pleasure of hearing from our very own LYP Council Chair, Landon Collins, who dropped some serious knowledge on financial planning and what it really means to set yourself (and your family) up for success.

From smart money moves to thinking long-term about stability, security, and legacy—this was a reminder that being a young professional isn’t just about where you are now… it’s about where you’re headed 🚀

Because let’s be honest—building a career is great, but building a future? That’s the real goal.

Growth doesn’t always look polished — sometimes it looks like nervous laughter and stepping outside your comfort zone.

At this month’s Livingston Young Professionals meeting, Amy Hall helped us practice owning the conversation and making confident first impressions.

A little awkward? Maybe.
Worth it? Absolutely. 👏
