Our hearts are broken at the passing of Christy Smith, founder of BR Soldier Outreach.

For nearly 20 years, Christy faithfully sent care packages to our nation’s deployed military. To us, they weren’t simply service members — they were our sons and daughters, and Christy loved and cared for them as her own.

This photo is especially precious today. Christy, in red, is seated beside our beloved Mrs. Dora — two beautiful women with servant hearts who gave so much to others.

Please keep Christy’s husband, Allen, her children, family and the entire BR Soldier Outreach family in your prayers.

Rest well, Christy. You spent a lifetime remembering them. We will remember you. 🇺🇸BR SOLDIER OUTREBR SOLDIER OUTREACH

When you look at the beautiful blue skies, it's hard to comprehend the destruction. People's lives changed. One thing that is for sure, communities, faith, and generous donors came together to help. But please don't forget the good people of Avoyelles Parish. They still need help to clean up and rebuild.
We would like to extend our thanks to all who helped us unload the donations. You are so appreciated!! Jill Saucier Amy Mayeux Lachney

Driving through Avoyelles Parish to bring donations to flood victims, people's belongings were piled up on the roadside like trash. But, it isn't trash - it's people's love and memories. Please if you can donate, these good people need help.
