Bigbee Humane Society The mission of Bigbee Humane Society is to make possible a better world for all animals by providing shelter, educating the community about humane care.

We are a small group of volunteers dedicated to giving rescue dogs a second chance. We operate solely on donations. We are not funded by any city or county organization. We all work full time jobs, have family etc, but we think every dog deserves a chance so we are the voice for the voiceless. We do operate as a no-kill shelter. We do not euthanize to make space for another dog, which sometimes prevents us from helping every dog in need. We provide a safe place for every dog we take in. Our shelter consist of all outdoor kennels. That is why we work so hard to find a better placement for each dog we take in. Our priority is pulling dogs from our local kill shelters and city pounds. We are always in need of new volunteers. Dogs always need to be walked, bathed, and vetted. Transporters are always needed. If interested in volunteering please email us at [email protected]

Whose dog is this?

He may be friendly with his family, but he’s making several neighbors nervous. He has been roaming the neighborhood and has growled and barked at children and other dogs while they were in their own yards. Please keep him contained on your property. No one wants to see anything happen to him, but neighbors and their children should be able to enjoy their own yards without feeling threatened by a loose dog.

Please contain your dog before the situation gets reported and escalates unnecessarily. Linden does have ordinances regarding dogs running at large.

Sweet Kevin… where do we even begin?

Kevin is currently the dog we use to test pretty much anything that comes through Animal Control, because this boy is friendly to a fault. Dogs? Kevin wants to be their friend. New people? Also friends. Life in general? Kevin is just happy to be included.

We thought Kevin had found his forever home, but unfortunately, life had other plans. His return was absolutely no fault of his own. Circumstances changed, and everyone agreed that coming back to us was what was best for Kevin.

And now he’s ready to try again.

Kevin is just about 2 years old, neutered, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated. He is playful, social, and would absolutely LOVE a home with another doggy friend (or two!) to wrestle, run, and play with.

Kevin is the kind of dog who makes friends wherever he goes. He doesn’t need anything fancy, just a family who will love his goofy, happy, ridiculously friendly self forever this time.
